The Romance of Sorcery was written by Sax Rohmer, pseudonym of Henry Sarsfield Ward. Rohmer is best-known for his earlier series of Dr. Fu-Manchu pulp novels. Here he departs into a nonfiction account of various psychical and spiritual topics of interest in early-twentieth century Britain, including chapters on Nostradamus and Madame Blavatsky.
